Week 285 Theme

We have come around to another Theme challenge this week... it might have been fun to see if you could guess what it was from the fabulous examples from the DT this week, but we won't make you do that... we'll tell you, it's...

REPETITION

We don't mind what you repeat...part of the sentiment, some of the stamping, it's up to you to decide, but obviously we need to be able to see the evidence of the repetition.
As always we want to see lots of lovely white space in your Clean and Simple design.

ShowCASE #283

Hi LIMettes it's time for our weekly ShowCASe post.

With such a range of creative entries for our Kitchen Colours challenge,

 we found it really hard to pick just three showCASe cards. 

It's a great problem to have! 

After a lot of thought, we managed to narrow it down.

Artistic and with tons of impact, the attention to detail really paid off 

in this stunning entry that still remained perfectly CAS. Well done Linby!

We were wowed by this clean, contemporary card that made such great 

use of colour, bold shapes and fantastic layout to really catch the eye.

Bobby

Vibrant, bright and simply laid out, this card's primary colour scheme gives 

a wonderfully uplifting feel which is enhanced by the beautiful 

hand-created effect of the central panel.

Hi Everyone!

It's TIME 
for another
ONE LAYER CHALLENGE
and this time the theme is

TIME

Just wanted to see how many times I could get the word TIME in there!
Please remember that on ALL submissions to our challenges, we like to see areas of WHITE SPACE!
Recently there have been lots of cards submitted which have lacked this important element of CAS design... so please try to keep in line with this aspect of the genre.

ShowCASe Week #282

Hi there LIMettes it's time for our weekly ShowCASe post.

It's never an easy job to select our favourites but we do love seeing 
all your stunning takes on the challenge in our gallery each week.

Sadly there were quite a few lacking our beloved 'White' space
although we do appreciate that particularly with stencils it's a treat
to showcase them to full effect without missing any sections!

We couldn't resist this stunning outer-space image with fantastic
blending to the outer edges creating depth and movement with delicate stencilled
detail to a small section of the card. Even a One layer one too despite it not being
'THAT Week'! Most of all a perfect clean and simple design with lots of space!


Edna

The bold depth of colour to the stencilled background sent us into a chorus
of OOOHHHHs and WOWssss with this one. Plus what an awesome image
depicting the evolution of man! CAS brilliant and a perfect guy card!

Ex-teamie Jen wowed us with this crisp, clean and striking beauty.
Such fresh colour choice and delicate stencilling. Simple, yet divine and the
 (almost) white-on-white die-cut sentiment screams elegance and charm!

Susan's card is so stylish and classy.  The colour lifting has worked
wonderfully with this single bloom, and the deep blue focal point with
the expanse of white space is a stunning combination.

The blend of colours here is beautiful and we loved the way the
foreground focal image is echoed so subtly with the faux bleaching
through the aperture.


Julie


A wonderfully crisp and clean creation by Julie and the controlled
bleaching of the bubbles together with the spritzed bleached
background is a fantastic demonstration of this technique.

USE A STENCIL

There are many ways that using a stencil can be part of your design and the DT this week has come up with some terrific examples. Even if you don't possess any stencils you can use the negative of a die cut to create one. 

Remember as ever, to keep things simple and to ensure that there is some white space...
of whatever colour it may be!
