ShowCASe #326 - Shadow

Hi there LIMettes it's time for our weekly ShowCASe post.

It was wonderful seeing all your beautiful and creative entries for our lucky dip challenge and you certainly made our choice difficult. So here goes with our choices, in order of entry for 

 

Cornelia

The beautiful shadowy forest scene that Cornelia has created is so atmospheric.  The subtle shadows that she has created with the moonlight really draws your eye in to the scene.

 

 

Liz Cavell

 

The silhouette animals sheltering under the shade of the tree really pop against the beautifully inked background that Liz has created.  The elegant oval frame sets off the scene perfectly.

 

 

Birgit

 

The shadowy shark looks perfectly at home in the ocean depths on Birgit's fabulous card!  The watery effect and curved die add real dimension to this CAS design.

Challenge #327 - Yellow & Grey

Morning LIMettes! 

This is a news / photo packed post with lots to mention so you might want to grab a drink before you read on!

We'll get to this week's challenge in a moment but if you visited the LIM blog last week you'll know that we said our 'cheerios' to fellow teamie Jen. We wish her well and hope she'll be back when things are quieter for her! 

... BUT to soften the blow we are delighted to reveal not ONE but THREE new Designers to our team.

Onto the challenge which is COLOUR week and coincides with our lovely fellow teamie Anita's birthday so she's chosen our colour combo and I hope you'll  pop by and leave a massive birthday wish on her blog too and if you'd like to make it a birthday card dedicated to Anita that would be awesome too!

ShowCASe #325 Stripe and April Winner!

Hi there LIMettes it's time for our weekly ShowCASe post and we are
also including details of our monthly winner here too.

It's never an easy job to select our favourites but we do love seeing 
all your stunning takes on the challenges in our gallery each week.

The idea to stamp the flowers and leaves on striped vellum was genius.  Such a gorgeous look,
and a winning combination with the bold sentiment strip and gently stencilled background.


#16 Viv


Using a striped border on the base makes this centre panel pop.  Lots of white space
and the fresh yellow colour choice really do make this a delightfully sunny card.


#37 Wendy


Wendy's card is cute, classy, crisp and CAS all rolled into one.  The background stripes
look great against the angled die cut and that adorable pup!

Challenge #326 - Lucky Dip Shadow!

Hey there LIMettes, we're back with another challenge for you but first up we have a little sad news to share ... we are losing one of popular Design Team members today! 

Sadly life and work has become crazy busy and hectic for Jen and she has made the decision to step down for the time being. We hope she'll be back in the future as and when things settle down for her but we'll all miss her fantastic inspiration each week. as we're sure you will too.

Jen, we wish you all the very best and huge successes in whatever you do. Hopefully you'll play along now and again to keep us all inspired. Please don't despair though, LIMettes as we will be introducing not 1 but 3 new faces to our team! That's a little teaser for next week! 

So on to today's challenge and it's a 5-week month which means it's Lucky Dip time and we're delighted to announce our guest designer for the this one! It's Jane Taylor of Purple jet loves crafts. You will undoubtedly have come across  Jane in Blogland as she's on several Design Teams and heads up the popular AAA CAS Cards Challenge too. ShowCase #324 - Spring Walk

Hi there LIMettes it's time for our weekly ShowCASe post.

It's never an easy job to select our favourites but we do love seeing all your stunning takes on the challenge in our gallery each week.

Sid's design creates the feel of a stylish canvas with the layered panels and soft but bright landscape. The pop of colour from the flower on top is a fab contrast and really creates an eye catching focal point against the clean white background.

Jaydee

Jaydee did an incredible job of creating a bespoke scene from this stamped image. Masking, watercolouring and adding water spray, doesn't her card make you want to head to a beach right now and splash in the waves?

Toni

Toni's card is CAS-tastic with its crisp white background and beautifully coordinated elements. The bright plaid of the letters and chameleon, and the dimensional green foliage, give a fantastic pop of colour and masses of impact to this striking card.

Challenge #325 - Stripe

Hey there LIMettes, we're back with another challenge for you and we
have another fabulous Guest Designer joining us for this one.

It's TaeEun of Rainbow in November and our Week 4 Birthday winner in February
Do hop along and visit her blog - you won't be disappointed as her creations
are simply stunning with loads of fabulous techniques and designs.

On to our challenge and it's Recipe week - nice and easy just include a
STRIPE on your Clean and Simple card - any direction, any colour,
even a couple of stripes is fine so long as there's lots of clean 'white' space too
