Challenge #339 - Pierce Your Project

Hey there LIMettes, have you got that Saturday morning feeling? Ready for a new challenge?

Before we announce the details we have some sad news to share with you .... This week our super-talented Team Member, Sarah G is stepping down from the Less is More design team. Sadly life and work have taken over and made it increasingly difficult for her to keep up with the demands of the challenge too. Her weekly input of inspirational, fun and quirky designs will be missed by all, especially her friends on the team, but we wish her well and hope she'll continue to pop in and play along when time allows.

On to this week's challenge and being a 5-Saturday month we have a Lucky Dip one for you! Here's our cue card with details of what's needed

We'd like to see paper piercing, brads, eyelets, sewing, etc.

And once again, our sponsor this week is Happy Little Stampers so please do play along for a chance to win a prize.

We can't wait to see how you take this one but as always our Design Team have worked their magic to inspire you so read on to see their examples.

Hi there LIMettes, it's time for our weekly ShowCASe post and we are also including details of the JOINT winner following our challenge collaboration with AAA CAS Cards here too!

Team members from both challenges have put their heads together to come up with ONE winner but we each have our own ShowCASe entries so it'll be interesting to see if there are any similarities.  Do pop across to the AAA Cards blog HERE for their results too.

It's never an easy job to select our favourites and we love to see all of your cards in our gallery.  They inspire us every week and we hope you agree with our ShowCASe choices!  You certainly pulled out all the stops and worked so hard on those non-white card-bases, made especially tricky on ONE layer.

So first up with our winner and we've chosen...

#96 Marge Crafts

Marge choose a light grey card stock with is just perfect for this beautifully colored floral image.
The flowers just pop off this card and look dimensional.  Amazing!

Congratulations, please contact Jane with your details - aaacardchallenge@gmail.com

#11 Michelle W

Michelle's use of tone on tone clear embossing with white pencil accents and gentle blending was the perfect combination to create this super feminine card.

A beautiful design on kraft card stock.  Aileen's color choices are amazing, beautiful, bright and cheerful.  Anyone would be thrilled to receive this beautiful card.

#94 TaeEun

ShowCASe #335 - Country Flag Colours

Hi there LIMettes it's time for our weekly ShowCASe post and it's never an easy job to select our favourites but we love to see all of your cards in our gallery. They inspire us every week and we hope you agree with our ShowCASe choices below!

So here goes, in order of entry for

#16 Ann

The gallery was packed with red, white and blue cards in the main so
here Ann has used her native Australian flag colours to create this stunning
masculine card. The colour combo works perfectly with a nautical theme
and this one used loads of dies and wonderful eye-catching detail.

#68 Toni

Another red, white and blue example and this one really brought a grin
and smile to our faces. What a fun little scene as under normal circumstances
the bulldog would be the scary looking animal! Superb CAS layout with lots of fun.

#71 Pia

A spectacular clean and simple design here yet so many elegant details.
Stunning visual impact and the use of the globe, bon voyage and plane images
just add to the whole 'country flag' theme.

Congratulations ladies and please help yourself to a ShowCASe badge from the page at the top of the blog with our thanks. We hope you'll display it proudly on your individual blogs.

We're sure you'll agree these are a wonderful bunch and worthy of our ShowCASe badge. Do pop along and congratulate them on their win if you have a minute.

We'll also be showCASing all of our winners' cards on our Facebook page so why not hop on over and give us a 'thumbs up'! Here's the link you need to take you there.

As always there's still time to enter our current challenge, which is running for 2-weeks and is a joint collaboration between AAA Cards and Less is More. You must enter at both challenges to be in with the chance of the prize to be announced on Friday, 28th July.

ShowCASe #334 - Sketch & June Winner

Hi there LIMettes it's time for our weekly ShowCASe post and we are also including details of our monthly winner here too!

You certainly loved our sketch, created by our super talented Design Teamie, Anita and we've had a really difficult time selecting our ShowCASe for this week. Loads of fun and quirky takes on the sketch but we had to whittle it down and this week we've 4 ShowCASe badges to distribute. We love to see all of your cards in our gallery and they inspire us every week. We hope you agree with our ShowCASe choices!

So here goes, in order of entry for

#39 - Bozena
The background to this card is totally spectacular, so many wonderfully vibrant and shimmering ideas packed into one teeny CAS-brilliant card. It certainly has the WOW-factor for us with loads of 'white' space, elegant and crisp embossing with the little trees and 'merry' sentiment flowing elegantly along the sketch design.

#50 - LucieG
Yet another one packing punches with all of that yummy 'white' space ... and who can resist that little family of cute owls. The different directions of their eyes and the expressions on their faces caused us quite a giggle. The inky blended background following the curve of the sketch is luscious and crisp and to finish a perfect quirky sentiment.

#53 - Jo Mo
Almost a one-layered creation with no additional panels just rows of pretty, cheery little flowers following our sketch layout. An inspiration, CAS-perfect and super elegant take on the challenge.

#63 - Skye
What a fantastic little beach scene and at this time of year it's the place we'd all love to be. Vibrant and striking colours make for a super cheery card and the added dimension to the little beach huts brings those stripey little buildings to life.

Our first ShowCASe of the month also signals the announcement of our winner from the previous month and our lucky winner for June will be receiving a prize from our generous sponsor STAMPlorations

Thank you to everyone who has taken part this month and we've thoroughly enjoyed seeing your beautiful cards in our gallery but it's time to reveal our winner and sadly we can only have one per month!

Congratulations go to Pauline of Crafting with Cotnob and here's an example of Pauline's card for last week's Sketch Challenge. Do follow the link above for more details of how this elegant card came together.

Pauline is a regular contributor at Less is More and there are very few weeks that pass by where she hasn't entered at least one card and visited many of your blogs with a friendly word along the way. Her cards are classy, elegant and CAS which work perfectly in our challenges.  Congratulations, Pauline, and many thanks so much for all your support.

Please take a Prize Winner badge from the page at the top of the blog! We hope you'll display it with pride on your blog with our congratulations and thanks.

We'd also like to offer you the opportunity to be our Guest Designer for one of our future challenges so please contact us by email for details of how to claim your prize at LIM2011@gmx.com

We'll also be showCASing all of our winners' cards on our Facebook page so why not hop on over and give us a 'thumbs up'! Here's the link you need to take you there.
