Glossary of Terms

Clean & Simple

A design of card with clean lines, minimal embellishments, areas of white space and few or no embellishments.

White Space

An area of the card which has no image, layer, texture, pattern or embellishment, This can be any colour dependent upon the colour of the card blank.

OLC One Layer Cards

A one layer card is made from a single piece of card i.e. one piece of card folded in half where the image is stamped or printed directly onto the card stock. It has no additional layers and no embellishments.

Card Front Dies  i.e. ones that cover the whole of the front of the card are considered as an additional layer therefore they cannot be used on a one layer challenge.

Dry Embossing

Embossing folders, designed to give texture to your project, can be used for our CAS challenges however, the embossed design must cover less than one third of the card front

CASe Card

CASe means 'Copy And Share Everything', also known in some regions as 'lifting'. You use the card to be CASed as a basis for your own card but add your own individual twist to it e.g. use the layout and colours and add your twist with the sentiment, subject, techniques etc.
