Why do you like LIM?
You will see we have a poll for you this week!
It would be interesting to know why LIM is popular with so many crafters, so we thought we'd have a little fun and let you vote. If there is something else which makes you enjoy our blog, maybe you could let us know.
Here is our recipe for this week and it's right up Mandi's street!
A BIT OF
Mandi
No presssure for me then LOL
I don't think I ever make a card without bling! I have such limited time right now, with Christmas orders and wedding orders that I had to whizz this up again. I have done similar for some of my orders, although not quite as much bling!
I printed the sentiment on the computer in a turquoise in 'LD Shelley Print' font. i stamped using Versafine, Imperial Purple. I tried all different inks and because of the solid trunk only Versafine worked by far the best. The gems are a lovely turquoise, green and hot pink. I then filled the rest of the spots with opal White ~Liquid Pearls and Diamond Stickles. to finish off I dusted with Glamour Dust. It really is VERY sparkly!
Chrissie
This uses SU Delicate Doilies stamped in Versamark and embossed with WOW glittery Princess Pink embossing powder. The sentiment was cut with Cuttlebug's Typewriter alphabet and glittered with Glamour Dust... some of which has strayed onto the body of the card. Sadly the pink looks a little pale in this picture, but it's a really pretty shade.
As you an see the bling takes the form of gems in the centre of each doily.
Here's one which makes me think of Vicky...she has a thing for robins. This little chap is by courtesy of Hero Arts. He's coloured with Copics and mounted on Nesties, with a sentiment by Paper Make Up.
You have to look closely for the bling on this card.... but it's adorning the decoration which Robbie is holding!
This is going to be the design for the majority of my Christmas cards this year!
Blogging time will be limited until Sunday as we have our 3 year old granddaughter and 9 month old grandson staying with us as our daughter moved house yesterday. I'm exhausted already!
Hope you enjoy this week, somehow we think you may!
Please do enter our poll, we are interested to see the results.
